Laurie Baima, founder of Premiere Beverage Consulting, began her secondary education by attending business school, but then switched her focus to pursue a distinguished career in criminal justice. She commenced her law enforcement career by graduating from the California Highway Patrol Academy in January 1985, earning a POST (Peace Officers Standards & Training) Certificate. Laurie worked as a Traffic Officer with the CHP until January 1988, when she transferred to the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (CA ABC) as an investigator, which is also a State peace officer appointment.
Her various assignments with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control were mainly within the counties of Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo. Laurie has extensive experience working all aspects of California Liquor Licensing, Beer & Wine Licensing and enforcement thereof with California ABC laws. Furthermore, her extensive California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control experience gave her a thorough working knowledge and understanding of the CA ABC system and how it operates. During Laurie's California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control tenure, she was selected to teach CA ABC law at the Ventura County Sheriff's Department Academy and Alan Hancock College (Santa Maria), CA.
Unlike many other CA ABC consultants, Laurie was a Senior California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control Investigator. She was assigned the most difficult and complex CA Liquor License and Beer & Wine License applications during her tenure. Her experience with the CA Dept. of ABC is invaluable to her clients'.
